TOP 5 SIGNATURE POSES WITH LIVE CHICKS AND BUNNIES
At Big Apple Portraits, we have years of experience taking pictures with live chicks and bunnies (and caring for them for a lifetime). There are a few poses that we have down to an art.
Introducing our signature poses. We have mastered the art and tricks to getting our favorite shots almost every time. First, you will notice there is always a photographer and an animal handler in the room. Safety will always be our number one priority in the studio. Second, we always keep the animals hidden when kids enter the room (even though the bunnies like to be nosey and poke their head out). When we take out the chicks, mom and dad…. SSSHHH! We really want to let them discover on their own. Also not giving it away when we take the animals out helps us get the famous chick on the head shot. Once we get the first few shots we will give your child lots of time with the animals during our full experience sessions.
CHICK ON THE HEAD!
Our absolute favorite! Hands down the number one pose we do with every child no matter their age. Also hands down the funniest! This pose is usually the trickiest shot to get and we usually only have one chance to get it. However, if they are into it and an older child, we will load them up with chicks!
CHICK IN THE POCKET
Always wondered what to put in a shirt pocket besides a pocket protector? We have just the answer. A baby chick fits perfectly into a shirt pocket! It is the cutest little thing to see them popping their head out. They will also fit in sweater or jumper pockets.
THE BUNNY STARE DOWN
Stare down with the bunny is always funny. Some kids are so cautious about getting that close to the bunny’s nose. Other kids have no choice as the bunny may choose to kiss them right on the nose.
PICK UP CHICKS
No this is not a lesson in dating. Kids who are gentle and old enough will get an opportunity to hold a chick in their hand. What is even better is if they feel comfortable to pick up the chick and nuzzle them to their cheek or give them a little peck.
CHICK ON THE REAR
That’s right we will definitely put a chick on your child’s butt. It is a guaranteed giggle fit for all kids and parents. While your child (of any age) is lying on their belly, we put a chick or 3 on their booty and if your child is older we may add chicks to their head and feet! Sometimes too, we will swap the chicks out for a bunny.
